The article is about 5 things that restaurants do that annoy people and they should stop doing. All I can say is: Yes! I find most of these things very annoying, but I kind of like the birthday embarrassment and I sometimes like complex menus that have a lot on them (great for places to have birthday party because you can please everyone).
Here is the article: 5 Obnoxious Things Restaurants Need To Stop Doing.
What do you think should be added to the list?
This is part of the Blog Everyday in May Challenge (which I can't believe is almost over). You can find more posts here.
I forgot to add Cracked to my list of on-line reads.
ReplyDeleteIt is great for light hearted reading.
DeleteI also don't like it when the server comes and asks how my food is. If I had a concern, I would have raised it. I don't know, it's just one of those bothersome little thing every server does. Also most of the time when you actually have a request, they are no where to be found! :/
ReplyDeleteExactly! And it's usually right at the beginning of the meal before I have even taken a bite that they ask me.
DeleteYes, yes yes!!! Especially the first part of #4. My husband is addicted to Food Network and every time he gets stuck on Guy Fierri or *shudders* Andrew Zimmern I want to throw a brick through the tv. Anthony Bordain doesn't bother me as much (he's kinda cute) and I like Alton Brown, but the rest of them just make my skin crawl.
ReplyDeleteI love the Food Network too (as well as HGTV...property brothers are HOT). I absolutely love Alton Brown. Anthony Bordain is very cute. I don't mind watching him. Andrew Zimmern grosses me out with the stuff he puts in his mouth. Same thing with Guy. He drives me insane.
DeleteEvery time with the mid bite thing...every time, lol. I was a server for a while and tried my hardest never to come by when people put food in their mouths.. :D
ReplyDeleteI swore if I ever were a server I would try my hardest to not go during mid bite. lol
DeleteLol- I would hate to own a restaurant, be at chef or waitstaff- couldn't think of anything worse.
ReplyDeleteI would think one would need thick skin to do it. I'm too emotional. I would cry if someone yelled at me.
DeleteWe do not go out to eat in restaurants very often. We usually call ahead an order and pick it up to eat at home. After reading this list, I am glad that we don't eat out very often. And I have threatened by family with something worse than death if they EVER announce that it is my birthday when we are in public.
ReplyDeleteWe have gotten to where we just get take-out. Plus, I am not patient so I hate waiting on things.
DeleteI love the birthday songs, but, oh my gosh, I almost wish the waiter/waitress shouldn't check on us at all. Not only do they do it mid-bite, but, seriously, if I was okay 2 minutes ago chances are I'm okay now.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes! Sometimes they check on me too much and it becomes annoying.
