Just take look, it's in a book...

Day 25: What was your favorite childhood book?

From a very early age, I have loved reading.  Reading will take you anywhere, any time period, any type of character.  I think the first book I  learned to read by myself was the Poky Little Puppy (I will have to check with my mom on that).  I loved that book.  Pretty much any of the Little Golden Books were my favorite.

My favorite chapter book when I was in second grade, was Kavik, the wolf dog.  I read this book several times.  In fact, the cover fell off I read it so much.

The Indian in the Cupboard - If I can find my copy of this, I am so reading it again.  Man I love this series.  Checking the library now!

Babysitter's Club - These girls were my best friends.  I owned a lot, but I read all of them.  By far my most favorite books ever!

Really I could go on and on...like Sweet Valley High, Little House on the Prairie, Christopher Pike, The Boxcar Children, on and on and on....

I was a very passionate reader, still am when I have the time.  I would pretty much read anything.  I have passed this love on to my daughter.  The girl loves her some books.  :)

Here is another wedding picture, I am almost finished editing them all.  Now to make a DVD and a proof book.  There are of the arch of candles they were married in front of.

Day 11 - Last Book I Read

Day 11 - Last Book I Read

I kind of want to change my post title to "Books I am Currently Reading" or "In Book Limbo".  Since I finished the Janet Evanovich series and the Sue Grafton series, I really haven't been able to sink in to anything else.  I start books and lose interest.  I am ope to title suggestions.  I will read pretty much anything.  A friend has let me borrow the Fifty Shades book, but I don't really have an interest in reading it.  Last year, as a family, we read the Hunger Game series.

Right now I am reading Bringing Up Girls by Dr. James Dodson.  I am not too far into it.  I probably should have read it a few years ago seems how my daughter is approaching thirteen in a little more than a month.  I am thinking of returning it to find a book on how-not-to-have-your-teenage-daughter-hate-your-guts book.  I am also re-reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.  I love this book.  Every time I start to lose focus on life, I pull out this book and read his farewell.  I already know I am going to cry through most of the book so I have a box of tissues handy.

I am an avid reader.  I have always loved to read.  I also am glad that my daughter loves to read (so much that her punishments often include being grounded from reading).

So if you have any book suggestions I am open to them.  I will give anything a chance.

I am participating in March 31 Day Blog Challenge over at Fabulous Finds by Tiffany.  Go read what others have to say.
