A great Saturday

Today I am happy because I got to spend time with a lot of family and great friends.  We had my dad's 62nd birthday party today.  There were about 35 people at their house.  We had lots of yummy food and cookie cake to top it all off.  I rode a little mini motorbike and my husband tried to teach me to ride my mom's big motorcycle.  Her's was way too big for me.  The kids swam and played on the golf carts.  There was tons of laughter and a lot of conversation.  I am beyond blessed.  Tonight Elexis is at a sleepover and I miss her.  We have another birthday party tomorrow (her cousin's...the one having the sleepover).  Busy busy weekend filled with lots of family.  Here are a few pictures from today.

I was split (haha) between two pictures.  I decided to post both.  Both revolve around ice cream.  One is Blue Bell Great Divide.  The other is a Blue Bell Banana Split ice cream sundae.

Yesterday was my anniversary.  We had a great day.  I grilled hamburgers for my mom and dad and my family.  We watched a movie and then headed to the park for the fireworks.  I am very fortunate to live within walking distance of the park where they shot off fireworks this year.  Here are a couple of pictures.

I just want to apologize for being a bad blogger lately.  I haven't really had time to visit and comment on other blogs or really comment back on the wonderful comments I have received.  This will change on Sunday.  Tomorrow I will be at an all day concert that Toby Keith and Garth Brooks have put together.  I have so much to talk about and no time to write down the words.  This will change on Sunday, so be prepared for an onslaught of comments on all of your past few days worth of posts.  I think of you guys as an extended part of my family and want you all to know I appreciate you.
