Today I am happy that Elexis is ready for school. We went this morning and turned in her proofs of residency (next year they will probably want blood). She got her locker assignment, her official schedule and located all her classes. We then proceeded to the mall where we finished up her back to school clothes shopping. She also got her hair cut. I didn't get a picture, because as we were coming home; her best friend who had been gone all summer, called and asked Elexis to stay the night so she went.
This evening I got to hang out with my dad and 2nd mom. Today is his birthday and I made him mini key lime pies. I make them for him every year on his birthday and Father's Day. It is his favorite dessert (really the only dessert he likes). It was great to catch up with them and I really enjoyed the evening. I hadn't seen them in a couple months so I am glad it all worked out.

DeleteAw :) Nothing like new clothes and a fresh haircut to start the school year off proper. Of course, I would have just been happy getting my locker and schedule sorted ahead of time instead of that very first morning... -_- Happy Birthday to your dad!!

DeleteHahahaha!! The unimpressed face cracks me up!!! I am glad her school lets them do all that stuff before the first day. That way there is less pressure on the first day.
