Holiday movies

Day 12: What beloved holiday movie/TV show/play just leaves you cold?

Confession time:  I have never seen Miracle on 34th Street and I don't really have a desire to.  I also have only seen It's a Wonderful Life once as a teenager and again, I have no desire to see it again.  I probably should watch them as an adult, but there are so many other favorites that I love.  I also do not like the remade The Grinch movie.  I like the classic cartoon.  I'm also not a big fan of the claymation type cartoons, but I watch them because my kid likes them.  A couple of years ago a new version of A Christmas Carol came out.  We decided to take Elexis and watch it in 3D.  Big mistake.  It was scary even for me.  My husband finished watching the movie, but Elexis and I left and went shopping around the mall (the theater was in the mall).

I so want to talk about the movies I love and my favorite lines from them, but I am afraid it will be a blog topic next week or something.

  1. I haven't seen Miracle on 34th Street or It's a Wonderful Life either....another thing we have in common. I might try to watch them this year. I have a lot of time of my hands, you know!

  2. I may try again. I usually fall asleep in It's a Wonderful Life.

  3. The easier list would be which holiday movies I DO like. Scrooged (with Bill Murray) and The Year Without A Santa Claus. That's about it.
