Day 1: Your current relationship. If single, discuss how single life is.
I am married. I have been married for almost 16 years (next month). I got married very young (19). I would not trade my marriage for anything, but I really wished I would have waited until I was a little older and done a few more things. I have never lived alone. Ever.
What I love about being married, I have someone who is always there to share the responsibilities with. Since I don't really like sweets, but I love baking; I have a recipe tester. I have a shoulder to cry on. I have someone to take the trash out.
What kind of sucks about marriage: I now have more people to clean up after (throw in a kid and that is triple the work). Not really any of alone time (I love my alone time). The laundry hamper battle (laundry hamper sitting there and laundry all around it just not in it...ugh).
Our first two years of marriage were a very trying time and we came out of it stronger than ever. He graduated college, we found out we were pregnant, we moved 500 miles from home (and we didn't know anyone when we got there), our baby died, and we found out we were pregnant again; all within the first year. We went through things that were highs and lows of emotion and we came out of it with a strong foundation for our lives.
We still have our hiccups but for the most part, our marriage is good. I took my wedding vows to heart and my husband did too. We are in this together for better or for worse.
Join me over at Paula's Place for this challenge. There are no real rules, you just do what you can. She is also hosting a Photo Challenge too. I am participating in that as well.
