Man, these topics are getting heavy!
I had a very fortunate childhood of not really having any alcoholic or drug using parents or grandparents. My grandpa was an alcoholic before I was born, when my mom was a child; but I never witnessed it. I had an aunt who was a hooker and she did drugs. She turned into a narc and wound up getting killed. And, I have another aunt who I think does drugs (not sure she doesn't live near me). Then came my generation. One of my aunt's (the hooker) daughter followed in her footsteps. She has been in and out of jail. She too sells herself for drugs or money. She has had two children taken by the state. Her brother used to sell, but I don't think he does anymore (I could be wrong, I don't associate with them). I have a girl cousin who is an alcoholic. I also have a boy cousin that almost lost his life (and almost killed someone else) from driving while high and drunk. I promise I really do have normal cousins as well.
My personal story is, I have never done drugs. The only time I have been around any kind of drugs is at a couple of outdoor concerts. I am a very light weight drunk. It only takes me about one and half light beers to be completely drunk. I have only been drunk drunk like 4 times my entire life. I don't like losing control of myself and alcohol does that to me. People say I am a really happy drunk. I don't tend to remember things if I have had more than two hard drinks. Apparently I also hallucinate things. I am totally fun when out with a bunch of people that drink. I am also usually the DD. That's okay with me.
Day 3: On my table
Sitting on my coffee table. She sits there most days to watch the birds and squirrels.
