During the day when I am home alone, I usually clean house, do laundry and dishes. While I am procrastinating on all that, I usually am reading blogs or looking up recipes. I also
I love alone time. I like not being on anyone else's time schedule. I like not having to cook or get things for others, every once in a while. I love my family and friends too, but sometimes I just want to be alone. I get to watch whatever I want on TV. I also can work out without an audience.
When we go on vacation, I will often split off from my family and do something by myself. The last time we went to Disney World, I went to Epcot by myself. It is not my family's favorite park and they wanted to go to the water park, so we split. I had so much fun and I got on rides much faster because I was a solo rider. I am a very outgoing and friendly person so I didn't ever feel weird chatting with people in line while we waited. When we went to New York, I went to several neighborhoods by myself to just immerse myself in the surroundings while my family visited the pool (I am seeing a trend). I will even go to movies by myself (my husband does too). I am totally comfortable being by myself.
My post seems a little all over the place, so thanks for sticking with me.
Head on over to Fabulous Finds by Tiffany to see how other people spend time alone.

That would be awesome! Even if it were just for the weekend. :)
DeleteI totally could have written this entire post all myself...we are very kindred! I LOVE my alone time. I never get enough.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to tell you, Pinterest is NOT a waste of time! It's a map for future creativity! :) Ha ha! Plus there's a hella collection of awesome culinary creations!
OH, and about the bird flapping wing things...funny story. I took my middle kiddo when he was almost 2 to Colorado by ourselves. When we were sitting outside on the porch I kept hearing this flying buzzing thing (and yeah, I'm the one that will run away arms flailing, screaming acting like an axe wielding psychopath is hot on my trail...) and so I kept hearing this and I THOUGHT they were like... DIVEBOMBING me! Turns out they were HUMMINGBIRDS! There was a feeder above my friggin head! But those little things, I thought, were HUGE hornets. LOL
I just got shivers thinking about it!
I seriously just spit my drink out!!! That is hilarious! I totally would have cowered in the corner, maybe rocked back and forth!! We are very kindred spirits! I LOVE the culinary creations on Pinterest. I wish I had a bigger kitchen to create all I have pinned.
DeletePS - I love how our Pinterest Boards are named similarly! We really are kindred!
DeleteI spent a week or so wandering around NYC way back in the day on a trip with my rather boring aunt and uncle. On the up side, they paid for a stay at the Plaza. My 18 y.o. self had a ball!
ReplyDeleteHeck, I would have a ball now doing that!! Wow! What a fantastic trip. First time I went, hubby tagged along everywhere. That's why I was glad when we took my daughter the second time. I got alone time! How was your stay at the Plaza? I would love to stay there.
DeleteA vacation all by myself does sound like heaven
ReplyDeleteYes, it does. Maybe one day we will be able to. Until then we can just dream.
DeleteWe're like peas in a pod! I like to go out on my own too and NEVER have a problem finding someone to talk to. I love it that there's someone else out there that does that. :-)
